Collaboration between The Resident & Burnt Country... please read about the process below.

@burnt_country and @the_resident have collaborated to bring you AnimaLe. The combo of The Resident’s denim slips and Burnt Country’s handmade paints, is a beautiful blend of raw contemporary.

As a huge fan of a good animal print, which is often hard to find, Lauren (The Resident) approached Le to create an original design with an organic feel.

Le, the amazing talent behind Burnt Country, creates all her botanical paints from a range of plants and vegetables. The colours of AnimaLe are made from brown onion skins and iron. The natural painting process is unique, involving pre-treating the fabric in soy milk (allowing the colours to bind) making the paint, hand painting the design, then heat setting the colours and finally washing it out. It’s a six-week labour of love. Le’s expressive freehand design brings a story and individuality to each piece.
